Did you know today is Black Love Day? This day, created by Ayo Handy Kendi, was established to promote “love to heal relationships” in the African American community.
Black Love Day aims to encourage African Americans to:
-Find ways to love rather than hate ourselves
-Increase peace to stop violence
-promote racial healing to stop white supremecy and racism
On this Black Love Day, Black and Missing Foundation, Inc. encourages you to spend time loving yourselves, your families and your communities. Remember, I Corinthians 13: 4-7 states: “Love is patient, love is kind. It dies not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It dies not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, bit rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves.”
Happy Black Love Day!
