Bishop T.D. Jakes’ Film, “Woman Thou Art Loosed: On the 7th Day”, Spotlights Child Abductions

On Friday, April 13, Bishop T.D. Jakes and Codeblack Entertainment will release the film Woman Thou Art Loosed!: On the 7th Day, which deals with the impact a child abduction has on an African American family. Child abduction is an issue that must be addressed, especially in minority communities. Children of color total 65 percent of total non-family abductions.

From April 1-14, Black and Missing Foundation, Inc will shine the spotlight on the topic of child abduction, and the film, through a unique set of events including:

  • Daily blogs about various aspects of child abduction, as well as profiles of children who have been abducted.
  • Tuesday, April 3rd, Black and Missing Foundation, Inc., and partner Black and Married with Kids, will host a tweetchat about child abduction and Woman Thou Art Loosed!: On the 7th Day. The tweetchat will be held from 9pm-10pm EST. To follow the chat, log on to www.tweetchat.com and enter the hashtag  #childabduction, or follow on Twitter @BAM_FI, @LamarTyler, @blackandmarried to participate.
  • Throughout the week, we will be providing “Child Abduction Prevention Tips” on our social media sites to keep our children safe. These facts will be used as part of our Woman Thou Art Loosed!: On the 7th Day giveaway.
