The Black and Missing Foundation Partners with Traffic Sales and Profit to Launch New Initiatives Supporting Families of Missing People of Color

(Hyattsville, MD) – The Black and Missing Foundation (BAMFI) and Traffic Sales and Profit (TSP) have joined efforts to address the national crisis around the alarming number of missing persons of color, who account for 40% of all missing person cases. Through the partnership, they are launching a new reward program and distributing free child-ID kits to families nationwide.

Effective immediately, child-ID kits will be available to families on BAMFI’s website. Each kit includes vital information such as fingerprints, photographs, and personal details that can greatly assist law enforcement agencies in expediting search efforts should a child go missing. Providing these kits free of charge ensures that more families, regardless of their financial circumstances, can benefit from this essential tool.

In addition, starting August 1st, BAMFI and TSP will launch the BAMFI/TSP Reward Program. This initiative allows families to receive funds that can be used as reward money to aid in solving their loved one’s case. Financial incentives often play a significant role in generating tips and other crucial information from the public, thereby increasing the chances of locating missing individuals. The program highlights the importance of community engagement in addressing the issue of missing persons, especially in communities of color where cases often receive less media attention, law enforcement support and resources.

“Due to generous donations from Traffic Sales and Profit over the years, we now have the funds to broaden our impact and support more families in their time of need.” said BAMFI Founders Derrica and Natalie Wilson. “This partnership exemplifies the power of community collaboration to tackle this crisis. By providing child-ID kits and financial rewards, we hope to bring families the resources they need and amplify the urgency of finding their missing loved ones.”

Lamar and Ronnie Tyler, founders of TSP, expressed their enthusiasm for the collaboration stating, “At TSP, we believe in leveraging our resources and network to create a positive impact. Partnering with BAMFI aligns with our mission to support and uplift our community. Together, we can create a more equitable system where every missing person has the chance to be found. Our commitment also goes beyond financial support; we are driven by a shared mission to reunite families and bring hope to those in despair.”

Both organizations are hopeful that this partnership will inspire further action and collaboration, encouraging more people to donate to grow these critical initiatives to have an even greater reach and impact.
