(Albuquerque, NM) – Thursday, July 21, 2022 – The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the Black and Missing Foundation (BAMFI) are joining forces with new live police series On Patrol: Live to help solve real ongoing cases of missing people, it was announced today by REELZ.
Throughout the season, On Patrol: Live, which documents for viewers in real time the work of police officers on patrol from diverse departments across America, will work with both nonprofit organizations on segments spotlighting ongoing cases of missing children and adults, getting the word out to viewers across the country. Historically, viewer tips and information have led to the recovery of numerous missing people and their return to their loved ones.
“The passion and engagement of the On Patrol: Live community is like no other,” said Angeline Hartmann, director of Communications at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. “We know these viewers will take that same energy and apply it to the search for our missing children every week. I’m looking forward to the show and we’re incredibly thankful for this generous opportunity. It will change lives.”
“Awareness is key in finding and bringing home those missing from our communities,” said Natalie Wilson and Derrica Wilson, founders of the Black and Missing Foundation. “We are honored to be part of On Patrol: Live to help amplify those stories that may otherwise be overlooked. We are confident that the collaboration will help us solve cases and reunite missing individuals with their families.”
Said On Patrol: Live Executive Producer John Zito, “We’re so gratified to be able to offer the reach and resources of On Patrol: Live to help support the critical work of NCMEC and BAMFI. Our producers worked previously with NCMEC and through viewer tips helped return 19 children to their families and loved ones, a direct result of the show. There is no better feeling in the world, and Half Moon and REELZ plan to utilize the same strategies here to hopefully have even more success.”
“Our long-standing commitment to public service was a major part of our decision to bring On Patrol: Live to REELZ viewers,” said Stan E. Hubbard, CEO of REELZ. “Working closely with Half Moon Pictures, we are thrilled to be able to assist NCMEC and BAMFI by including the incredibly important work they do every day in this new series.”
