A young woman from Prince George’s County has been missing since Tuesday after last being seen at the Pentagon Metro station.

Family members of Esube “Izzy” Wondwossen, 22, were passing out flyers in the area today and encouraging businesses to check their surveillance cameras, according to a spokesperson for the Hyattsville-based Black and Missing Foundation, which is trying to raise awareness of her disappearance.

The nonprofit says the Howard University student was last seen on Thursday, Sept. 15, around 8 a.m. leaving the Pentagon station. The circumstances around the Maryland woman’s disappearance are unclear but the foundation’s page about her says she’s potential in danger.

Wondwossen is described as 5’1″, 110 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. She has a mole above her left eyebrow and was last seen wearing a black zip up hoodie, leggings, a headband, and Crocs, while carrying a tan Michael Kors bag.

An Arlington County police spokeswoman referred questions from ARLnow to Prince George’s County police. PGPD referred us to a missing person page on the department’s website.

“This is an open and active investigation, and we have no updates to provide at this time,” said a department spokesperson.
